a widely cultivated plant, daucus carota sativa, having finely divided leaves, flat clusters of small white flowers, and an edible, yellow-orange root and also the long tapering root of the carrot, eaten as a vegetable.

... They are found wherever an animal of any sort might poop. In the dirt, the dirt in gardens all over the world, from which such things as carrots, potatoes, radishes, beets, and other root crops are pulled. Now animals might not care much If they poop on leaves, so we need not expect them ...

Yes, carrots are good, but be sure to wash them before you eat them whether from the store, or from the garden...Parasites sit around on the dirt waiting for a host, you know. Parasites can also live on a carrot in a grocery ...

... in atypical hosts. But there are plenty of parasites that can live in us - enough to keep me away from uncooked or improperly cooked meat/animals. Carrots are good.
