Dictionary » C » Canthus CanthusDefinition noun, plural: canthi Any of the two corners or angles of the eye formed by the joining of the lower and upper eyelids.
The eye has two canthi, the medial canthus and the lateral canthus. A youthful eyelid usually has lateral canthus higher than the medial canthus. As the individual ages, the brow and the lateral canthus sag. A surgery can improve this, and canthoplasty is the plastic surgery done on the medial and/or lateral canthus.
