Re: Food to ATP energy?

... each gram of glucose (it's really closer to 3.75). Therefore 180 grams of glucose would contain about 675-720 kilocalories (Depending on how you calibrate the calorimeter). and would produce 30 mole of ATP from ADP (if the glucose is used entirely for ATP production). - It should be noted that ...

When you increased the analyte concentration, did the machine calibrate gain before the first cycle?

what is gain in fluorescence detector

Can anyone explain what GAIN in fluorescence detector actually is? I am running real-time PCR and the signal seems too low for detection if I calibrate gain "before the 1st cycle". If I recalibrate in the middle of the run, I see signal. P.S. If you do SYBR Green PCR, please, let me ...

ATP Measurement

... for this product. However, I tried to prepare the solution from Japanese material provided with the ket used for this instrument. While I tried to calibrate/calculate the ATP in my required sample I couldn't get values. I don't know how to use this instrument, if anyone is using this product can ...

How to measure dry mass?

... So I guess, but that is an educated guess, that the absorbance would be similarly correlated with dry mass. And I suggested that you verify and calibrate that. But I made the assumption that your microalgae would behave similarly as bacteria, and that there is a known optimal wave length that ...
