(Science: pharmacology) refers to pills coated with a special substance that neutralises stomach acid. Drugs are buffered to reduce stomach upset or increase absorption by the intestines.

Why dialyse DMEM before protein purification (Ni-Affinity)?

... right? The medium contains some histidine, but at low concentration (0.2 mM). More important will be probably pH of the medium, because it is not buffered.

... low (you should shoot for pH of the product 4-4.5) but in any case this would be the positive control The negative control would be one buffered to neutrality that would fail preservation and spoil.

If you decided that was the critical variable, pH buffering could be both - buffered low as positive control and buffered to neutrality for a negative control.

is bss a kind of buffered solution???or the diffenence?
