An exchange, or place where merchants, bankers, etc, meet for business at certain hours; especially, the stock exchange of paris.

Origin: f. Bourse purse, exchange, LL. Bursa, fr. Gr. Skin, hide, of which a purse was usually made. Cf. Purse, Burse.
