(Science: botany) The berry of several species of vaccinium, and ericaceous genus, differing from the American huckleberries in containing numerous minute seeds instead of ten nutlets. The commonest species are v. Pennsylvanicum and v. Vacillans. V. Corymbosum is the tall blueberry.

Can somebody explain to me how the food industry makes those dry berries (strawberries, bananas, coconut, blueberry etc) that you find in cereal? They must use some kind of chemicals on the berries so that they don't get oxidized when drying off right? Also, do they contain ...
