malaria- sickle cell... prevalence of the resistance in the area you are planning to travel to. and be able to advise accordingly. Best protection is to prevent mosquito bite though, so pack DEET repellents, net and learn about good clothing protection and take necessary precautions.

Re: What is the most poisonous snake in da world?... any of you ever told that old urban legend about "Daddylong Legs" or Opiliones being the most venomous of spiders, only they couldn't bite humans because their jaws were too small? Hilarious, especially since Opiliones aren't spiders, but I was wondering if there was a any correlation ...

Re: Unkown Bug? Hemiptera? Pics... in the Family Coreidae (Leaf-footed bugs). Use caution - these things have mouthparts that stab and suck. Some will deliver vicious, painful bites, others have a bite that is painless, but contaminated with dangerous blood parasites. Some will simply attack your veggies. Good Luck!

Spider Identification - Please Help!... google it and try to ID it that way. Usually they are very shy, and are not considered dangerous at all unless someone has an allergy to their bite. I believe they are a type of funnel spider. A great resource I use is whatsthatbug.com
