Animal Intersections, Parallel Roads, Alternating Road Usage

... road 5 miles away would be closed down. One might call this a 'Animal Intersection'. In fact, they could employ an animal walk signal. Have any biologists out there heard of similar road usage strategies? If so, then please put down a comment.
