Basilic vein

Basilic vein

(Science: anatomy, vein) arises from the ulnar side of the dorsal venous network of the hand; it curves around the medial side of the forearm, communicates with the cephalic vein via the median cubital vein, and passes up the medial side of the arm to join the axillary vein.

Synonym: vena basilica.
