Basidiomycetes shitake mushrooms

a class of true fungi more commonly known as club fungi, so called because they produce their spores at the tips of swollen hyphae that look a bit like clubs or baseball bats. This division includes mushrooms, puffballs, earth stars, stinkhorns, bracket fungi, rust, smuts, jelly fungi and birds-nest fungi.
