Aurothioglycanide --> auromercaptoacetanilid

AuSCH2CONH-C6H5; [(phenylcarbamoyl)methyl]thiogold;an organic gold compound, insoluble in water; used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and administered by intramuscular injection; more slowly absorbed than the water-soluble gold salts.

Synonym: aurothioglycanide.
