(Science: enzyme) Nonhemorrhagic fibrinolytic protease from western diamondback rattlesnake (crotalus atrox) venom: an aalpha, bbeta fibrinogenase, cleaves alpha chain of fibrinogen first followed by beta chain and shows no effect on gamma chain; consists of a single nonglycosylated polypeptide chain; mw: 23,500; amino acid sequence given in second source; genbank s77086; does not inhibit platelet aggregation
