Dictionary » A » Atomic weight Atomic weightAtomic weight (Science: chemistry) The average weight of an atom of an element, i.e. The total mass of protons and neutrons in an atom. (chemistry) the ratio of the atomic mass of an element to half the atomic mass of carbon-12.A way of measuring atoms and molecules at the atomic level, where hydrogen, the lightest element in the periodic table has an atomic weight of 1. ![]()

# of protons, electrons, and neutronswell its pretty easy, the atomic number tells u how many protons, if the atom is neutral it has the same number ... charge it has one electron more and so on. substract the atom number from the atom weight to find out how many neutrons u have, basicly.
