(Science: microscopy) An optical device, capable of producing plane polarized light, used for detecting the state of polarization.

a second polarizing element inserted beyond a preparation. When its vibration direction is at right angles to the vibration direction of the polarize, the field becomes black if no anisotropic specimen is on the stage or when viewing an anisotropic substance in an extinction position or directly down an optic axis of an anisotropic crystal.

... 11 this codon is checked with "i" i.e. Orf has to be aware of it, but results do not see it. What to do? Question #2: I want a sequence analyser tool that will parse FASTA code fully, i mean that it will find ORFs, RBSes, TATA-boxes, not only ORFs. Is there such tool you can advise? ...

breath+' lyse 'r No. Comes from the contraction of "Breath" and "Analyser". Could also be called ethylometer (From ethyl acohol, or ethanol, and meter) As I thought before ;) IMO, I prefer "Breath-analyser" (without any word contraction) ...
