Amine oxidase

Amine oxidase

(Science: enzyme) a group of enzymes including those oxidizing primary monoamines, diamines, and histamine.

They are copper proteins, and, as their action depends on a carbonyl group, they are sensitive to inhibition by saemicarbazide.
