1. (Science: medicine) An ulcer or fistula in the inner corner of the eye.

2. (Science: botany) The great wild-oat grass or other cornfield weed. A genus of plants, called also hardgrass.

Origin: L. Aegilopis, gr, fr, gen, goat _ eye.
