Abductor

(Science: anatomy, neurology) muscles which move a portion of the body away from the midline such as raising the arm out from your side. A muscle that draws a part away from the median line.Muscles which are designed to move limbs away from the body. Muscles that do the opposite (move limbs closer to the body) are deemed [[adductors.
