A very short comparison of Merck Manual and the PDR, April 15, 2007
The Merck Manual is a handbook which covers a very broad area of therapeutic knowledge. If one is looking for compiled manufacturer information similar to package inserts (primarily for the newer meds), the PDR is the needed sourcebook.
