1. To heave; to be disturbed by nausea; said of the stomach.

2. To move irregularly to and fro; to roll.

Origin: Cf. Dan. Vamle, and vammel squeamish, ready to vomit, Icel. Vaema to feel nausea, vaeminn nauseous.
