ulnar head

The name applied to a head of origin of a forearm muscle arising from the ulna. Nomina Antomica lists ulnar heads (caput ulnare...) of the following: 1) flexor carpi ulnaris muscle (... Musculi flexoris carpi ulnaris ); 2) pronator teres muscle (... Musculi pronatoris teritis ).

Synonym: caput ulnare.
