syndrome

(Science: syndrome) A set of signs or a series of events occurring together that often point to a single disease or condition as the cause. The collection of symptoms as a result of an abnormality or disease, an example being Down's Syndromes caused by an abnormality in the chromosome compliment of the human genome.
