rosales

An order of the angiosperms, subclass rosidae. Its members include some of the most known ornamental and edible plants of temperate zones including roses, apples, cherries, and peaches. Plants of a number of the species of the rose family contain cyanide compounds, for example, peach pits and bitter almonds.
