(Science: chemistry) An alkaloid extracted from jaborandi (pilocarpus pennatifolius) as a white amorphous or crystalline substance which has a peculiar effect on the vasomotor system.

Origin: From NL. Pilocarpus pennatifolius jaborandi; L. Pilus hair _ Gr. Fruit: cf. F. Pilocarpine.
