(1) One of the pair-rule genes that function as genetic regulator of the expression of segment-polarity gene.

(2) The gene product of odd skipped.


Mutation in this gene affects the odd-numbered segments of the embryo, hence the name.

Symbol: odd (gene) and Odd (gene product).
