Kalmia

(Science: botany) a genus of North American shrubs with poisonous evergreen foliage and corymbs of showy flowers.

Synonym: mountain laurel, ivy bush, lamb kill, calico bush, etc.

Origin: NL. Named in honor of peter Kalm, a swedish botanist.
