Extensor pollicis longus

(Science: anatomy, muscle) origin, posterior surface of ulna; insertion, base of distal phalanx of thumb; action, extends distal phalanx of thumb; nerve supply, radial.

Synonym: musculus extensor pollicis longus, long extensor muscle of thumb, musculus extensor longus pollicis.
