Extensor pollicis brevis

(Science: anatomy, muscle) origin, dorsal surface of radius; insertion, base of proximal phalanx of thumb; action, extends and abducts the thumb; nerve supply, radial.

Synonym: musculus extensor pollicis brevis, musculus extensor brevis pollicis, short extensor muscle of thumb.
