Corticotropin-releasing hormone

(Science: endocrinology, physiology) a neuropeptide released by the hypothalamus that stimulates the release of corticotropin by the anterior pituitary gland.

chemical name: corticotropin-releasing Factor

Synonym: corticoliberin, corticotropin releasing Factor.
