Discussion of the distribution and abundance of living organisms and how these properties are affected by interactions between the organisms and their environment

I have a quick proposition for an experiment. For the purpose of protecting endangered species, perhaps a succession of smell 'signposts' could be built. Each would contain the scent of food from not only the area of the signpost, but also neighboring areas. Building many of these signposts and then adjusting them periodically could encourage ecological protection. This is kind of a spontaneous idea. I'm just throwing it out.
