Hmmm. My mother has that also, and she has it on both feet, and completely covering them. I can tell you that it doesn't spread any further. It is not itchy, 'cos it just isn't (XDD) but it is quite annoying and you will be tempted to peel off more and more because it is irritatingly thick. Don't worry about it, it isn't too harmful.

Oh, and with the spot in the middle of your foot, under no circumstances will you pull at the edges. Been there, done that. Grew to a larger spot, thanks to my stupidity, and took too much self-control to stop picking at it, really.
