Can someone explain to me the ranks, the amount of posts needed, and how it relates to biology?

it's not related to biology, only the names are names of snakes :) It only markes, how many posts you have made (or whether you are admin, webmaster, VIPer etc:)

Please tell me garter refers to the non venemous garter snake rather than a garter belt.
