Most of them eat a lot of fish. Fish has high levels of vitamin A. This is another reason humans who live in colder climates tend to have deeper pigmented skin and thicker skin. Fish is high in vitamin A, D, and K.

Why do people still insist that cats are domesticated?

The house cat is NOT domesticated and it drives me nuts when people say they are. They are semi-domesticated at best. The reason this makes me bad is because having people believe house cats are domesticates makes some people believe they can own larger cats. If every larger cat acted like my small ...

Taxonomy

Can someone explain the order for me? I know this sounds like a very noob thing to ask but I am very curious as to why the taxonomy of biology is ordered in this way. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5f/Biological_classification_L_Pengo.svg/220px-Biological_classification_L_Pen...

Re: Genesis

In any explosion - or any event for that matter - the laws of the physical universe tell us that there must exist the elements to produce that event. In other words, every event - and every thing in the physical universe - has a source. This we have learned by scientific observation and many decade...

"Eye colour is simply the amount of melanin in the skin." So you are saying people with blue eyes have little melanin in their skin? I am confused as to how skin color has anything to do with this. I have a black friend, he is quite dark and he has hazel green eyes. I think this is somewha...

Are there any flowers that can survive...

Are there any flowers that survive with little to no light from the sun? I ask because I found this potted flower in my grandfather's basement. Me and my brother were clearing out the house. It has been down there for at least 2 months that we know of. It still seems to be alive. It looks kind of li...

I had never actually seen a green one before. I thought all the larger ones don't suck blood? Am I wrong with that? Either way, I do my best to avoid anything with a needle on it. Too many diseases and toxins out there.

Is social media ruining us?

I feel like since the boom of Social Media, people are quicker to anger, hate speech, and division. We are now capable of being closer than ever yet we grow even further apart with every status update, tweet, tag, and post. What is going on? People seem to love to hate each other.

Re: Human population control

Here are two human population-control methods that are already in operation: - Feminism: Get young women doing anything as long as it isn't having babies - or at least, as few babies as possible. And let's not forget abortion, a feminist "sacred cow". It has been estimated that about 1.5 ...

You can't pass it down. It is something that develops from stressers be it through toxins or actual mental stress. A lot of "auto-immune" diseases and issues are brought on by stress believe it or not. There has to be more studies done on it, but many scientists are now saying poor body im...

Why is hair loss genetic?

This is something I never understood. I see some people who have balding heads yet every trace back in their family, they kept their hair. Then you have people with balding parents on both sides and they keep their hair well into their 60's before they even notice any loss. I feel like it depends on...

Polydactyly in cats is not considered a deformity but having "extra genes". I never really looked into the topic beyond that but now I am interested. I think this is the case of if it continues to happen more and more, maybe it will become "normal".
