Yeah, that's what I am thinking too (about the extinct thing I mean), but who knows, the Coelacanth was thought to be extinct as well (granted, it was a shorter time ago, but then again...) I guess it could be some form of the horse shoe crab... Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised if its something ...

What is this?

http://www.vnexpress.net/Vietnam/Khoa-hoc/2008/03/3BA00C22/bien9.jpg According to the news I read, that was found along with many other sea creatures recently in the Antarctic expedition... And the moment I saw it, I kind of think that it looks like a trilobite... just wondering if anyone else thin...

Chlorophytum comosum

Just wondering, the Chlorophytum comosum (Spider Plant), how long does it take to grow a new stolon? Because whilst I was away from home, everytime the stolon grows a plantlet, my mother cuts the whole stolon... and yeah. Kind of have been waiting a long while for a new stolon to grow (since recentl...

Okay, I think I found what it is (coincidentally).

An Evolution Simulation

Whilst going through some webpages earlier today, I found one that was quite very interesting. Whilst limited, it did show many aspects of natural selection, including how different factors can affect how well a species adapt and survive. And it also includes mutation, which occurs every once in a w...

A Strange Spider in Da Lat

I found this pic a while ago posted on one of the Vietnamese news websites, which shows a spider caught on film in Da Lat. Just wondering if anyone knows what it could be:

Well, I believe that they evolved at the same time. This is because life, defined by many, involves both a form of replication and metabolism. And as such when life evolved, it must have contained both at once, possibly from a combination of factors, whether or not a form replicated first, then star...

A Magnification Question

Ok, let say I have to draw the shape of something under a microscope, and after drawing it, the second question is 'State the magnification of your drawing and show how you calculated it.' Would the magnification be MA = Mo x Me (magnification of eyepiece x magnification of object) or MA = Observed ...

Strange insect I've found

Ok so I visited my home country (Vietnam), and one day, in my house I found an insect in my room. So I took pictures of it and threw it out into my garden again. Since I forgot my wires, I can't connect my phone to my comp, so I'll give a description of it and hopefully post the picture soon. Basica...

or go to wikipedia But if you want an answer off the top of my head. 1.) Earthworms enrich and aerate the soil as they dig through it. When digging, the earth is seperated, thus creating spaces between the particles and such. This new addition of space provides areas where air can come into, thus ae...
