"nothing in biology makes sence except in light of evolution

Postby monkeyfromsainsburys on Wed Apr 30, 2008 9:55 pm

I have been asked a question and do not understand what it is asking me and where to start the question is -
using appropriate biological examples justify the famous quote " nothing in biology makes sence except in the light of evolution"

Please help, this is not my strong subject.

Here's two you can expand on

organisms with similar traits are related
vestigial organs

I'd be careful on vestigial organs - the logic there is the same one behind Intelligent Design.

ID - "We don't understand how this could have evolved, so it didn't."

VO - "We can't figure out what this structure is doing, so it can't be doing anything."

Anybody see the work from last year on the appendix-?
