Re: Ivan PavolvWell, for more accurate sources, try finding a book. Pavlov IS pretty popular- especially in Russia, if I have been told correctly- so it shouldn't be THAT hard to find.
I am now undergoing a Ph.D program in the Dept. of Human Physiology of the V.N.Karazin Kharkov National University, Ukraine. Ivan Pitrovich Pavlov started his scientific studies in this university, before travelling to France, where he continued to work together with the famous Luis Panteur. though only Russian references talk of this. You can get alot of him herein:

Re: Ivan PavolvIvan Petrovich Pavlov studied medicine in Russia and Germany, accepting posts in St. Petersburg as a professor in pharmacology and physiology. In 1889 Pavlov began experiments with dogs that proved their reflexes could be conditioned by external stimuli. Specifically, after they were conditioned by the ringing of a bell at feeding time, they would reflexively salivate upon hearing the bell, whether or not food was present. In 1904 Pavlov won the Nobel Prize for his work on digestive physiology, but he is most widely known today as an early influence on behavioral psychology.

I think you should search for Pavlov in Google Books and also maybe try to find some Russian sources and then get them translated. I'm sure there're lots of dissertations and studies on this topic performed by Russian scientists and researches.
