What is Genealogical MonophylyIve been reading a recent journal and I came across 'Genealogical Monophyly. '
What is Genealogical Monophyly? Im guess its something to do with tracing back ther most recent common ancestor and all of its descendents. Can someone give me a more informative definition. Thanks for your help in advance.
I'm sorry but I couldn't find any thing.
Did you try searching the web? No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong.

well monophyletic means a group of organisms tracing from a single common ancestor. I think the geneological part is redundant.
An example of a monophylectic specie would be humans. That's why we are the only specie under the genus homo. Living one day at a time;
