Biology Careers

It can be good to get a broad degree... Like biology and then you can become specialized in a career such as microbiology... Or you could get a more specific degree such as virology; the good thing is that the class sizes are small.

out of curiosity, do we have anybody interested in psychology on the boards?

You know, we have different boards like cell biology, molecular biology or off topic discussion. you can write anything that is not really related to biology to off topic discussion board. Or if you have a topic anywhere else moderators will move it. :)

sorry, i just didnt see how mentioning psychology is considered off-topic in a thread discussing careers in biology?

I thought you might want to have a different topic and ask it there. never mind. By the way, I don't know about other countries but you cannot become a psychologist after studying biology at the university...

What are the chances if I'd apply for a university to study biology in someplace other than the netherlands? anybody who did that?

pharmacy is really exciting field....... todays most growing field in U.S.A.......lots of jobs opportunity in this field.......starting salary is almost $80,000 a year.
