Re: Organic ComputerI started thinking more on this concept. I see the first designs to be wrought with abysmal failure. Consider what would be needed to maintain such a system. Temperature control would be essential, as not to denature our newly written 2048 bit code. pH balance would also be needed, and lets not forget the energy source. proteins, and sugars of some sort, or could we interface electrical energy to organic. Hmm, so many things to work out, but just think of the possibilities. I think this technology has a long road ahead, but it will some day emerge as a new breakthrough. I hope I am around to see it.

Re: Organic ComputerI see this organic computer a sort of wet computer.

I don't want to sound like a doomsday forecaster but what if the computer ended up like every other life form and developed a mind of its own?

That's what I'm afraid of.

it's simple, keep it off networks. That way it'll never be able to affect anything other than its own systems. Remember in Terminator 3, skynet only became dangerous when they connected it to the net.

Michael, if you would be the designer of this machine, how much should each cost? ---When reason ends, faith begins---
