Generally what ID proponents do is take correct information and interpret it to their use. What that movie does is present wrong information that they think is going to make their point more valid.
The number one mistake they make(INTENTIONALLY) is that of saying "Hey, we did not know that and this back when the theory of evolution was originally proposed. Therefore evolution is wrong". That is incorrect for so many reasons. First of all, evolution is not the same theory it was when Lamark, Darwin and all the others originally imagined it. Like any scientific theory, evolution has greatly grown and evolved since it was born. One of my favorite analogies is to compare evolution with gravity. From Newton's original idea to the idea that of objects curbing space-time to a quantum gravity theory, only the principle remains the same. Likewise, only the principle of natural selection and a few other concepts have remained the same in the theory of evolution. Biogeography, biochemistry, population genetics and a load of other sciences have brought great contributions to the theory of evolution, which unlike what ID proponents say, is not in trouble because of biochemistry. Quite the contrary really.
Like I said before: an apple falling is a fact. Gravity is a theory.
Here are a few other stupid things from that movie
Do they really know what evolution is? Do they know what natural selection is? I don't see what this has to do with natural selection.
So good, viruses aren't really a threat. I spent a truckload of money on Tamiflu for nothing.
What is this about? Hormones either cross the bilayer or bind to a receptor on the PM to initiate a transduction pathway. I will not even get into how stupid the last sentence is.
Insulin does not give sugars to the cell, does it? It signals the mitochondria to degrade the sugars already present. Which by the way need to enter glycolysis first.
Not true. Especially annoying to me cause it sounds like communist propaganda.
If that insect looking like a leaf is not a good example of evolution, I don't know what is...
don't use the word Christian for this context. I am a Christian and, as you can see I don't believe bull like that
So am I. Why is it that our faith always gets blamed for bull like this?
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

Because creationists try to say that their theory derives from the teachings of God. Which of course isn't true, but it makes some people interpret that if you are a Christian you need to accept stuff like that
Interesting video, I don't like how they automatically resort to stating there is a creator just because at the moment, the origin of the complexity of the molecular process of living things is beyond our explanation. Not knowing is a creative state of mind, thus being said, it is always important to resist coming up with conclusions with no proof (i.e. a creator).
especially when in the majority of cases, the origin of the complexity of the molecular processes of living things is NOT beyond our explanation
Especially annoying to me cause it sounds like communist propaganda.
you know I think this video can be explained in a Psychology way
and by the way "Not true. Especially annoying to me cause it sounds like communist propaganda. "
I am listening communist propaganda everyday It's funny in fact
Mabey it is because evolution
I am young and curious of the world around me, and this debate i love. I for one have believed since i was 12, evolution over the creator theory, or 'god' if you will.
I remember darwin not being able to state his theory for a long time, due to the fact he would have been punished for going against the churches. Or at least that was what i was taught, and i remember also being taught that the idea came to him when he observed a monkey at a zoo, and how it acted very simialar to him, emotions being the main reason for him to ask if we had anything truly in common with these magnificent animals. So i dont think any religion can say that the evolution theory came from them, its religous teachings. For example, Dinosaurs. My mum when i was younger around 13 cleary pointed out that the theory could not have come from the bible, and it does not say anywhere within the creation story about, dinosaurs. Dinosaurs are one of the many factors supporting the evolution theory.
And finally, my personal view on religion.
When we humans, homo sapiens, first began to look around, we started to think how does everything work? why are we here? how did we get here? I think that during some talk, not one, but hundreds of individuals voiced a theory, due to the fact we didnt know much about the world (nothing about chemistry, physics, or biology), said that because the world was so great and there was so much vareity, it must have been created by something, or someone, like their tools and weapons had been made by them, and that weapons and tools could not simply 'appear or just be' without being made, and so we couldnt have just happened, we too had been made. that then lead to bigger stories, when younger children asked their parents why the nightsky was so beautiful, the adults would go back to this theory once again, and say 'because someone made it' just like the drawings on the inside of caves had been drawn by us, and so on. as time went by the story grew more complex, like chinese wispers, and it stuck. the stories seemed too great to be made up, and even when people first started finding out things about the world, like the structure of an atom, someone would have been there in the background to say 'because someone made it, like we make the bricks of our houses, the creator made the atoms to make up life'
In a whole, i think there is far too much information to back up the evolution theory, and the theory of a creator is a little too weak, That is my opinion.
I believe people get too wound up on the religious side of this arguement, because when i was 11 in a Religous and Moral Educations class, the teacher who was the wife of a minister asked the class who believed in what, and the class being shy said they were not sure, and i said evolution, the teacher sort of argued. she did not shout or be agressive, but seemed extremely offended and had a go at me for believing the theory, and basically ended the arguement by saying i wasnt very clever for saying i did not believe in god, because of the stories and truths in the bible, and the modern miracles, which was completely different to what i had origanally said.
So to top it off, i think this video is dreadful, and not factual in anyway what so ever, and i believe that whoever made this video is fighting facts with bedtimes stories, in my opinion of coarse.
