Ok so lots of people say lots of funny/interesting/crazy things on these forums, and I figured it would be fun to dedicate a thread to quote-worthy sayings that have been posted by members here.

I'll start the list with a few things I was able to pick out in a scan of discussions I've been involved in. I know there are a lot more, and better, ones out there, but I'm tired now and want to go to sleep.

“Relax, I was not trying to fluff your shorts.” – MichealXY

“I now seal the question.
Whoever replies next won't ever breathe the air for the next five seconds...LOVE LIFE! ” – mcar (in Last Person to Reply Wins thread – winner of the WTH?? award)

“Gravity is wrong, and intelligent falling theory is wrong. The reason for the pull towards the planet is because Earth sucks.” – MichealXY

“The real brutal truth of the matter is that this entire nation that our military is defending really means absolutely nothing to the people on the ground defending it; all that matters when you've got hot lead flying at you is your comrades to your left and right, looking out for them because they're looking out for you, and staying alive.” – alextemplet

“If you have it consistently, you need to improve your tennis.” – mith (on the topic of love)

“I much prefer "How not to fail at life" by P.Niss.” – kotoreru (discussing existential literature)

“I win.” – alextemplet

I think Astus deserves to be quoted himself, and not just because he started this thread:

"To those who said it couldn't be done: I wag my tongue in your general direction! Yeah, you know who you are." - AstusAleator (speaking about the popularity of the ecology forum)

I guess that's enough for now. This is kind of fun, but time consuming!

Here's two more replies to mcar's WTH? posts:

Astus Aleator wrote:You're the most confusing person I've encountered on these forums. And that's saying something.

Am I allowed to quote myself? Here's two excellent quotes of mine from the "New Low in Creationist Thought" thread:

alextemplet wrote:That logic has holes so big in it you can fly a starship through them.

(referring to creationist logic of a young universe)

alextemplet wrote:That's why he cursed us with Hilary Clinton.

(referring to God's anger at all of the people who deny His existence)

Here's Sachin's answer to the age-old question :D

Sachin wrote:Gallus evolved from primitive species x of chicken..... so it was neccesary to mate x-species
with each other..... then some mutations occured in zygote..... Egg got layed..... x-species mother sat on it.... hatched..... then gallus species came into existance...... simple...

so Egg first....
