how can i isolate certain halophilic organisms which are able to decompose proteins ?

put them in a medium with plenty of salt and some proteins as only carbon source..

Thank for you good advice . however, proteins couldn't serve as carbon sources,but nitrogen sourses ususlly.I just want to search some bacteria being able to decompose proteins .Some kinds of bacteria fall to ues protein as carbon but can decompose them.
