Programs for Karyotyping???Does anyone know of any good programs within a decent price range that will automatically do karyotyping??

Ok... Here's something I found.
The program is called KARIO. Here's the address where you can download a demo version of it. How extensive the demo version is, I don't know, but after some digging this is all I could find. http://www.zetaimaging.com/download.htm -scroll down until you see the word KARIO- hope this helps.
The demo wouldn't run, i've been trying to get it to. It looks great though, it's what i'm looking for.

where does it find its application ? Know thyself.
You first must have a microscope with a camera. You take the picture, then scan the image of the chromosomes into the program. It is supposed to then separate the chromosomes out.

Karyotyping will is an automated program that will take a snapshot of a cell nucleus and order the chromosomes so they can be examined.
Yes, but very well worth it. Starting in 2 weeks I will have to do this manually unless I find a software for fairly cheap.
