Effect of ethanol on proteinsHello,
I was wondering - what exactly does ethanol do to proteins? Does it denature them? I can't find anything in my text books or on the web. Thanks, helloworld
Thanks very much - so, if these proteins were in a membrane, what would the effect be? Would it make them unable to transport things through to the cell, or would they somehow become detached from the membrane or something?
Thanks, helloworld
ethanol is a vegetal hormone.
you cant see it on "persea americana's fruit (i don't know the english name of CACAHUATE). i call it as the senescence hormone in plants PD: If you cover a cacahuate with a newspaper, it will get mature more fast, that's why you don't have to put the cacahuates next to other fruits like bannanas ~~Agronomist Engineer, Dekalb Seeds

Re:
that's not ethanol! That's ethylene! http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
