Perhaps so but if the mods decide not to add a newsletter usergroup, you can always just find out who's interested in writing and contact them through private messages and e-mail and the like.
Generally speaking, the more people talk about "being saved," the further away they actually are from true salvation.

A newsletter topic would also allow you to find out who's interested in receiving the newsletter.
