Cephalopoda Expert needed

I have been trying to research the Phylogeny of the mimic octopus. I have read that it closely resembles the wunderpus octopus, yet these two are classified as a seperate genus.

Does anyone know why this is? Are there any relatives to the Thaumoctopus mimicus (mimic octopus)
