Plant infecting bacteria

Hi all is there a prokaryotic bacterium that infects plants? And is it there non poisonous to humans?

I think most plant bacterium are the reason for food poisoning to human.

Why do you think plants and animals have a lot in common for the bacterial toxin to be successful. Aren't they, plant infecting and animal infecting bacteria supposed to be having totally different arsenal.

Hey all bacteria are prokaryotic only. Erwinia, Xanthomonas and Pseudomonas infect plants. I don't know if they can do something bad to us though.

mmh.. most of the bacteriums that affects plants doesn't do it to humans.
at least those that are in the agriculture.
(you can taste zooglea and you won't get sick )
