petPets don't live the life as their wild relatives live ; also in the country I live [BHARAT] people don't treate pets and animals that wisely. Thus , for hte sake of humanity we shud take some action. What is ur observation?

I would have to say yes but the person would really need alot of free time on their hands to take care of an animal. I have a couple of pets and I'm with them most of the time.
No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; a single experiment can prove me wrong.

I think the exception of keeping a pet to a wild animal is that a pet, in most cases, doesn't know it's being held captive from the 'wide world' if you could call it that. A pet is, usually, born from a pet, and so-forth. If pets, such as cats for example, were to feel they were being held captive then in most cases they have every opportunity to escape. However, my cat returns to my door every time it opens- so I'm guessing he likes his security. But, I suppose, you shouldn't keep a pet if you are unable to or you know that you can't afford to keep up the expenses, or spend time with it. And if there is any chance that someone would be nasty in any way to a pet, then I strongly suggest they don't have one.

If you already have a pet for a long time you should keep him. Why? Because they already adapted to live in houses as pets. They are not adapted to live in the wild or by means they're rate of surviving in the wild is low. But if you find a wild animal and want to make it a pet, DONT. They're adapted to live in the wild not as pets.
I think, pets are adapted to home. I have a cat. He sleeps with me since he came home.(Do you know a wild animal which sleeps with human without hurting?) If I leave him to the wild life he will probably die.
So, I think, keeping pets is right. It matters not how strait the gate
