DNA breakpointHi Every One,
I'm doing project, searching DNA breakpoint in Human genome. I have to locate my genes of interest and those breakpoint to prove if they r in the same locations or not. do you guys know how can i do this??? Thanks a lot, POP
Assuming you have the sequence of your breakpoint, BLAST that sequence in Pubmed and then just simply look whether the BLAST refers you to two different that might have been joined together after the breakpoint. If you'd want to you could usually blast it in the UCSC genome browser (comfortably called BLAT) and see the actual genomic location of the sequences involved. Good luck (dont ask me how to do it, just screw around with the programs a little thats what they;re there for and you might stumble onto new stuff...)
