Unknown disease in Malaysia,1 of my friend infected.Pls HelpSymptoms -brain lee oestrogen
-agorophobia -pannic attack -One week mensestrual Doctor explanation - MAYBE,low level of oestrogen cause this because have many female brain cells are oestrogen target cell I hope overseas people can help us
low oestrogen levels cause menopausal symptoms...
menopause is not an 'unknown disease'... every single woman on the planet is going to get it sometime... but from the very limited information you are telling us - no one is going to be able to tell you very much... the best thing you can do is go back to see your doctor...
i sincere apology to moderator n revenged ..This happen on my fren so i uncontrolable my emotion just now i posted the message..ya..i giv a few info also..she
start this at 14~15 now she 21.i really hope i can find the answer to her.. For moderator help to answer this..i know moderator know more biology than me n others
If we go under the assumption that all of the symptoms are connected, which they may not be, here are a couple of possibilities:
- an issue with the hypothalamus, which is connected to anxiety and involved in regulating female hormones (and is part of the brain, which apparently came up in the original diagnosis). - and issue with the adrenal glands (not likely, though), which does produce hormones that have effects in the areas of the symptoms. Most of those hormones have fairly weak effects, though, and problems with the adrenal cortex would produce lots of other symptoms as well. I'm just guessing here, and I don't know if there are actual known conditions that fit these, but if you're looking for areas to do more research, those might be good places to start.
you cannot assume that the symptoms are at all related... agoraphobia and panic attack are psychological disorders...
all you have told us is that there is one week menstrual cycles... your doctor need to do tests to see to measure hormonal levels in the blood and with this information they will be able to make a diagnosis... you won't get a diagnosis online... go and see your doctor...
Oh i see,now i need more information then i heard from her.I need start to know more.It is really interesting on my life to start discover a disease.Mr.Revenged and Mr.Darby i sincere thankful to u all.I now know more about her disease.
How the oesterogen can produce? It is start from hypothalamus? Perhaps, she body lost of effecter or detector for inhibit the menstrual cycles? I think the main problem is oestrogen hormone. We should think from menstrual cycle, can we? From information i got from revenged pannic attack and agoraphobia are psychological disorders. So,try ignore the psychological disorders and focus the oestrogen hormone producing. could we?

The problem is that there are hundreds of possible causes of irregular bleeding... Anovulation (failure of ovaries to produce, mature, or release eggs) Endometrial polyps (the endometrium is the inner lining of the uterus) Endometrial hyperplasia (thickening/build up of the uterine wall) Endometrial cancer Uterine fibroids Abnormal thyroid or pituitary function Pregnancy complications -- like miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy (when a fertilized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus) Hormonal changes, such as menopause Changes in birth control pills or estrogens that you take Use of certain drugs like steroids or blood thinners (for example, warfarin or Coumadin) Use of an intrauterine device (IUD) for birth control Recent trauma, surgery, or other uterine procedure Pelvic inflammatory disease or other infection Stress, change in diet or exercise routine, recent weight loss or weight gain, travel, or illness http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/prin ... 003263.htm I'm not sure what the doctor explanation was because what you said initially is very unclear... "Doctor explanation - MAYBE,low level of oestrogen cause this because have many female brain cells are oestrogen target cell" But for your own information... The control of oestrogen production is... Hypothalamus (GnRH) -> Anterior pituitary (FSH/LH) -> Ovary (Oestrogen) Oestrogen levels can decrease the levels of GnRH, FSH and LH by negative feedback... This is why you need to measure the levels of hormone levels in the blood to come to a diagnosis...
Estrogen is produced mostly in two places -
- follicle cells that process developing egg cells in the ovaries. These increase and decrease in number (and vary their estrogen and progesterone outputs) during the course of the menstrual cycle. The hypothalamus, through the pituitary (hypophysis), starts each cycle, but the feedback mechanism is progesterone levels. There are estrogen receptors in the brain (as well as elsewhere), but the effects there do not seem to be mechanistically reproductive (although they may affect reproductive behaviors). - fat cells. These tend to keep a "base level" of estrogen in the body. Women who are anorexic, or abnormally thin for other reasons, can have problems related to too-low estrogen levels. Usually the effects are reproductive; other effects from lowered estrogen seem to be suspected but not clearly understood, from what I can find in a quick search.
However,me also didnt knew the real condition i just heard from her and i don't have any doctor report,i just direct have information from patient(friend).
I just an A-level(STPM) students so i didn't know much. List given by Mr.Revenged: Anovulation (failure of ovaries to produce, mature, or release eggs) Endometrial polyps (the endometrium is the inner lining of the uterus) Endometrial hyperplasia (thickening/build up of the uterine wall) Endometrial cancer Uterine fibroids Abnormal thyroid or pituitary function Pregnancy complications -- like miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy (when a fertilized egg implants somewhere other than the uterus) Hormonal changes, such as menopause Changes in birth control pills or estrogens that you take Use of certain drugs like steroids or blood thinners (for example, warfarin or Coumadin) Use of an intrauterine device (IUD) for birth control Recent trauma, surgery, or other uterine procedure Pelvic inflammatory disease or other infection Stress, change in diet or exercise routine, recent weight loss or weight gain, travel, or illness Some drugs to prevent pregnant can be cancel out cause she still virgin. I knew, negative feedback will occur when estrogen increase too much. However have any effector or detector to control the feed back mechanism? She still virgin,in front of people she looks fine. Could u make a list 1 more time? I knew u copy n paste. However,i just wan to know problem as little as can. So,we can easy determine what the problem and try go through the problem and discuss it. If can we can discuss this topic at msn: [email protected] To moderator, I don't know can give email or not for discuss at msn conservation. So,I sincere apology,i need have the answer as fast as i can. So,i did to discuss it at msn messenger...If sir wan warn me,warn me is okay.
If there is no negative feedback then this would cause increased levels of oestrogen... The fertility drug clomiphene works by this mechanism... And I don't know what else you want me to say... I can't tell you what the problem is... Last edited by Revenged on Sun Apr 01, 2007 11:10 am, edited 1 time in total.
