I don't know any of those words, tumor, etc. So this is not qualified as an answer. If tumor is a disease or some medicament - I don't need any medicaments or diceases which could boost testosterone. It seems like bodybuilders know more about increasing testosterone, than doctors.
Not knowing the word tumor is not an excuse for not looking it up, it's not that complicated if you are connected to Internet. But anyway I will save you this pain: tumor is a group of cancerous cells. So What Dr Stein meant was that testosterone level in the blood are finely regulated in a healthy individual, and that abnormal increase in testosterone production is usually associated with cancer. Not a nice thing, eh? And the idea you seem not to have fully grasped yet is that there is no safe way to modify your testosterone level and that your feelings about your blood level of testosterone is nothing more than a feeling and certainly not qualify as a measurement. I can see here that you do not know anything about testosterone: what it is, how it is produced, how it is regulated, what is the function, etc. Thus I really really suggest you to do one of two things: (1) learn about it by yourself, as you cannot easily understand what we tried to tell you, OR (2) stop thinking that you need to increase your testosterone level.
It is really harmful to "play" with steroids without adequate knowledge of it. If you really want to learn, I will be happy to help you, as long as you open your mind and change your attitude ![]()
LOL!!!!! They just know testosterone as ANABOLIC STEROID, which is NOT the real effect of testosterone. Anabolic steroid is the side effect of testosterone, which mostly used as a doping/recreation function. Using anabolic steroid is one thing to cause infertility and depression. Ask them and consume it. You will have a muscular body but you will lose your reproduction function, suffer brain damage, and will die soon or at least get stroke after a heart attack. Wanna try? ![]()
One way to increase testosterone naturally is to abstain from ejaculation for about 5-7 days in a row. A study was done a few years ago, and it was determined that testosterone levels peak after seven days on average.
As far as I know you cannot "lose" testosterone by ejaculation, unless perhaps there is some form of sexual addiction involved, but even that wouldn't be enough to notice. However, when abstaining, testosterone is produced in elevated levels and peaks around one week. So, abstenance after one week is pointless. Hope this helps.
However, abstain will create new problem for some people, you know: high testosteron, high libido, and you cannot relieve the desire. Well, theoretically men can liberate their desire without reaching ejaculation, but practically it is almost impossible. They cannot just stop before they finish with orgasm, which ejaculation happens usually soon after orgasm.
Then this abstain is not healthy for psychological state and trigger to stress. If so, then adrenal steroid will start to produce. Another androgen will be produced but due to stressful condition. Whatever stress is, it is never been good. ![]()
testosteronegladiatorsoul, because you've got no answer i'll try to answer you question, since Dr. Stein doesn't have a complete knowledge about testosterone.
Testosterone level is highest in the morning, and is produced via cholesterol, that means you need a normal amount of cholesterol (2 whole eggs, red meat etc.) there is supplement such as fish oil (omega 3) that can help increasing testosterone. avoid alcohol since it decreases testosterone level. another usefull supplement for testosterone iz Zinc. of course your sense of well-being , motivation, bone health .. .. depends on testosterone level , that should at least 600 ng/dL if you're in 20'is. (mine was 520) weight training decreases testosterone level, when your body produces more LH to bring back testosterone level. if you think your testosterone level is not high enough you should check out : LH, FSH , Total testosterone, Free Testosterone, estradiol. that should be enough. I would say Dr. Stein doesn't understand that there is a lot of people (even in 20'is when Testosterone should and must be in the upper range 600 ng/dL and more) that have testosterone levels somewhat decreased. I hope this is the answer you were looking for...
Objection!
My field is Reproductive Physiology, thus I do know about testosterone, well of course not all things because I am just a human being with any limitation, but of course I cannot tell him all about, because when I tried to start explaining it from beginning, he said he doesn't understand and refuse to understand it. What can you do if you are trying to help people and they said "I don't understand what you mean, so I don't regard it as the answer!"? As another people said here, he doesn't know the nature of testosterone as a hormone, he wants to get the anabolic effect of it, which is harmful is we do not know the nature. I also understand that testoterone level is different from individual to another individual with many condition e.g. age, health state, activity, disease, etc. However, we can say "your testosterone level is ok" or "you need more testosterone" or "wow! you got too high level of testosterone" after we measure it in lab, an not just with our thought. He thinks that he needs testosterone but he doesn't know his testosterone level. Even a professional cannot judge his own testosterone level without measuring it with tool. That's the idea why I explained him that way. OH, one more, maybe you forgot to mention, but I believe you know this much better than me as you seem the expert for testosterone: You cannot force yourself to get 600 ng/dL or something (the level is NOT just 600 but the normal level is always in RANGE - I believe you know the range, so please tell him the range not just '600'), because our system has a negative feedback mechanism and excretion system for some amount of steroid if our body thinks it is already excessive. Our body contains living cells not a metal machinery. ![]()
Dr. Stein I've really noticed your testosterone knowledge and its mechanism knowledge , but the point is to understand...
Normal range vary from lab to lab. Its usually 300-1000 ng/dL But what i'm trying to say is that the value of 450 or 500 ng/dL is maybe normal for young man in 20'is but its not OPTIMAL (age dependant) its optimal for a 50-55 year old man. Getting testosterone level higher (withing normal range >1000) is nothing but health bennefit (better sense of well-being, better muscle development, stronger bones, better mood, and much more) Level 600> ng/dL is optimal for 20+ people. I suggest gladiatorsoul, to do a test and find out what his testosterone level is...
